Or perhaps it's the Ravelling Nancy. The best superpowers are always named after C18th proto-industrial breakthroughs.
This is Silk, aka Cindy Moon, and one of the few web spinners yet to appear in any spiderverse franchise (even Madam Web, whose number of spider-women was inversely proportional to its entertainment value).
She was a classmate of Peter Parker, and got bitten by the same radioactive spider, but then no-one noticed for fifty years until she appeared in the comics. Makes perfect sense.
On the table, she has a similar power-set to the rest of the Web Warriors - lots of moving and displacement. Although she does have a number of ways to deal damage and gain power and her spender attack - the aforementioned Spinning Jenny - has a very cinematic effect of pulling all the villains together in a heap before she leaps away.
Painting-wise, I was dreading the details on this one: red webs, fading into black webs, on a white background! Luckily a steady hand and a little bit of tidying up got me through it.
The rest of the model was straightforward black, white, and a little red. The webs looked far too fragile to attempt a drybrush, so I found that Frostheart contrast (it's back!) with a Nuln Oil wash gave me the colour I was looking for.
Can't wait to take her for a spin!
