Santa Claws is Coming to Town

I hope you've already ordered all your festive GW merch this year. Better hurry if not, they're only reprinting Space Hulk once more every December for the rest of your life.

All I want for Christmas is yoooooooOOOOOooooooooooou

Along with my Frostgrave warband came the new paperback rules book, the resin treasure tokens already showcased, and a few extra goodies. Thanks Nickstarter!

Twas in the Moon of Wintertime
When all the Birds had Fled
That this guy Grew some extra Fur
And Murdered people Dead

This werewolf is in lead, a dying medium these days. Although quite a few people are bringing it back - cheaper to do than most resins apparently, and only a tiny bit much worse for your respiratory system if you inhale it.

I'm not usually a fan of werewolves. Not sure why, they just irritate me for some reason in a way that other gothic nonsense staples don't. The sculpts don't help, you rarely see a werewolf who looks like a convincing blend of human and lupine anatomy whilst remaining scary. This one is no exception, his arms are a bit spindly and his hands too big, but he does get bonus points for his detatchable head.

BftBG goes really well on the new snow texture paint, by the way.

  1. It's not just miniatures, movies also struggle to design a good lycanthrope (maybe it's the snout). And yet vampires seem much easier to get right, even for Muppets.
