The X-Men journey starts from the beginning!
Make it so!
In an attempt to keep up with my 2026 blogging, I'm going to try and post miniatures as I paint them, rather than wait until they're all grouped together (and I invariably forget how I painted them).
With Professor X, I took a similar approach to M.O.D.O.K. (i.e. spend a lot of time on his chair). Although as far as I know, the Professor's hover-chair isn't equipped with rockets or lasers (missed a trick, there).
I went with a base of Averland Sunset, then Nazdreg Yellow contrast. Back over with Averland Sunset, then highlights with Yriel Yellow and Flash Gitz Yellow. I even attempted some wet blending with Yriel Yellow on the front of the chair, for some extra shine.
The rest was straightforward: Charles' very smart suit and tie (it would be ironic if Magento shanked him with his own tie pin). And I wasn't going to pass up a chance at a tartan blanket (although I'm already kicking myself that I didn't do the McAvoy tartan).
I remember reading Professor Charles Xavier once try to deny he named the X-Men after his own initial. I suppose "To my, me C-Men!" has a different ring to it.
