We've already reached the end of our season of Winter Guard.
Laynia Petrovna is a mutant with the power to tap into the Darkforce Dimension, a place of pure negative energy (I thought that was Reddit).
On the table, Darkstar has some very useful superpowers to defend and teleport her team, as well as a decent spender attack. The big drawback is that she has no real way of generating power to fund all this goodness, making her the least-favoured of the Winter Guard (and that includes the bear).
She might do better under a leadership that fuels power to her, but that would mean changing affiliation, which isn't very team-player of her.
Painting-wise, once the black bodysuit was done (black undercoat, drybrush up with greys, wash down with Nuln Oil), it was a case of picking out the details. The yellow was Zandri Dust with Averland Sunset and Flash Gitz Yellow layers. The hair was Zandri Dust, a wash of Seraphim Sepia and layers of Averland Sunset/Ushabti Bone.
The 'darkforce' energy was a bit different, since it's not supposed to glow. I went the opposite to my usual method and painted Naggaroth Night over black, with layers of Xerus Purple and a wash of Druchii Violet.
Hopefully she's see more than just the inside of the miniatures cabinet!
