I feel the Warp possessing me once again!
I wanted to base my army around units of Possessed, so it was about time I got myself some more of them.
I've added eight more to my menagerie. I also kept to the theme of First Founding marines and, for a total of 16, that means I'm currently leaving two of them out: Black Legion because they're not really a First Founding, and Ultramarines, because they're represented elsewhere.

Thanks to Rapid for the Blood Angel pauldron. (you're regretting it now!) |
My ultimate aim is to grab all these marines on the battlefield (using the Taken Alive stratagem), and the first one I grabbed is the Blood Angel with the vargheist head and icon of Khorne (he so would).
Alpha Legion got the marine with the many heads - quite a chunky plague marine body, but there's a lot crammed into that armour.
I was most proud of this Possessed. A rubric marine can't really be possessed in the conventional sense, as they have no flesh, so I added a Brimstone Horror and some flames to look as if the armour was possessed by some kind of fire daemon.

Thanks to Mr AP Burn for the White Scar pauldron. (and all the rest!) |
Nothing fancy with the White Scar Possessed, other than I really like him. I gave him a Savage Orc topknot, and a Tzaangor blade (to look like a scimitar) - plus lots of other blades.

Thanks to jebk for the Dark Angel pauldron. |
Same colour scheme as before - I'm going to mis this when I'm done:
- Armour: Wraithbone base, Seraphim Sepia wash, Bleached Bone drybrush
- Gold: Retributor Armour base, Agra Earthshade wash, Golden Griffin drybrush
- Flesh: Bugman's Flesh, Reikland Fleshshade, Kislev Flesh layers
- Red claws: Khorne Red base, Nuln Oil wash

Thanks to B1llyb0b for the Imperial Fists pauldron. |
And that's it for the Possessed - I think I won't be adding any more than aren't won on the field of battle (so hang on to your marines!)
That's a fantastic squad! Much nicer than the straight kit.
ReplyDeleteThanks - the original kit has nice pieces, but I'm glad I smashed them into some bigger marines.
DeleteIt's been great seeing these progress. You should be really proud of what you've made, well done butty!
ReplyDeleteCheers mate. I had no idea I would fall down the rabbit hole like this, but very glad I did!
DeleteThese are fantastic! Great work!
