Eat My Hammer!

I assume Mjolnir is gluten-free, but do check with the catering staff first.

Marvel Crisis Protocol, The Mighty Thor

Adding to my Asgard affiliation is The Mighty Thor, aka Jane Foster after she was found worthy of the hammer (and had retired from public life on Naboo).

In terms of the sculpt, I think she looks fantastic. I admit, when I saw another 'model riding a lightning bolt', my heart sank, but Atomic Mass Games have learned a thing or two over the years, and she's much more solid than Storm.

In terms of painting, there was nothing revolutionary: drybrushed black for the leggings, Leadbelcher with a wash for the armour, layering for the hair and cloth.

The leather skirts came out nicely after a base of Rhinox Hide and a thin layer of XV-88. The red cloak went from all the usual layers from Khorne Red, Mephiston Red, Evil Sunz Scarlet to Wild Rider Red. I sense I'm going to get a lot of practice with red cloaks as I paint the Asgardians.

The lightning effects (which we'll also be seeing again) was the staple of Ulthuan Grey, Frostheart contrast, then thinned Ulthuan Grey highlights.

As a 5 Threat character, with no small amount of punch, The Mighty Thor makes a good splash character, so I'm looking forward to running her in an upcoming event.

Onwards!
