Time for some off-brand superheroes!
A while back, I picked up some second-hand Marvel Crisis Protocol models from the original Core Set and picked them up cheap (although not cheap enough perhaps). After a good soak in blue cleaner, I discovered they were in rougher shape than I estimated - the previous owner had been quite loose in their assembly, liberal in plastic glue and tried to make amends with greenstuff (we've all been there).
All this meant - I had nothing to lose by experimenting with some conversions!
This is the original Black Widow, painted up to resemble her adoptive sister, Yelena Belova (one of my favourite post-Endgame characters). I switched heads with Captain Marvel, to give her the short haircut, and painted her in the 'White Widow' uniform, so she'd look distinct (but added her favourite tactical vest).
The artfully placed rubble is to hide the fact that she doesn't have much of a right foot any more.
Continuing on the Thunderbolts theme, another of my favourite post-Endgame characters: John Walker, the US Agent. Since his costume is basically 'Captain America, but black-and-red', there wasn't much need for conversion, though I did switch his shield and change his arm into a punch.
There were a couple of stars on the uniform and shield that needed to be scraped off, one of the backpack straps needed to be rebuilt from greenstuff (it had melted away), and the stripes across the chest were just painted on.
Finally, Carol Danvers from the 1970s, back when she called herself 'Ms Marvel' and had more of a Barbarella vibe. The head with the longer hair was taken from the Black Widow sculpt, and most of the costume (boots, mask, lightning bolt) was done in the paint job.
The hardest part was reattaching broken limbs and smoothing it all out - it works from tabletop distance.
Either way, all three are a bit rough around the edges, but I really like them. I'm going to use them as proxies (though, I guess they are all 'legal' models) for their respective heroes.
