The Little Dread That Could

Before there were Helbrutes, there were Chaos Dreadnoughts!

While Forge World still has a plethora of specialised dreadnoughts, these wee ones appear to be a dying breed - which is a shame, as the legion-specific ones are absolute corkers.

This one was generously gifted to me by DZTV's very own Liam Dempsey, all assembled and ready to paint (which is another way of saying: the plasma cannon wasn't my idea!)

Painting him was straightforward enough - more so than a Helbrute, since he's missing all that daemonic kibble. I tried a bit of plasma glow on the cannon (in truth, I'm looking forward to seeing that in action). Other than that, it was the same paint scheme as my Rubric Marines.

And that's another one for the Thousand Sons - our strength grows!

    1. Thanks! Yes, I find less fiddly details in models from a pre-CAD era.
