It's Christmas - let's get wrecked!
I've had this piece of terrain for quite some time (it was a birthday present several birthdays ago - my track record with terrain is not the best).
It's the Gloomtide Shipwreck from the Idoneth Deepkin faction of Age of Sigmar. One of those 'free' pieces of terrain that most factions seem to have, giving them an on-table bonus for no points cost (and all you need to do is pay money for the kit - clever, that).
The 'proper' way to paint this is all ghostly and pale, but it's such a good generic shipwreck I decided to paint it like that (Games Workshop can do really well with the basic stuff, I wish they did more of it).
It was quickly assembled and based in Mournfang Brown (so it's old enough that I had a can of that primer handy), but spent several years in that sorry state, before I took the plunge and drowned in Agrax and drybrushing to have it looking halfway respectable.
As penance for my earlier idleness, I did pick out all the nails and barnacles (as well as amphora, treasure and dead sea creatures - there's some lovely detail in here). No clever effects for the rotting wood, but it's now a tidy bit of terrain.
I could do with painting up some treasure chests to go with it...
