"These are not wicked folk. If they have a fault it is distrust of strangers. Though their magic was strong, even in those days they were wary. They differed from the High Elves of the West, and were more dangerous..."

Nature, green in thorn and brier, saturates the forest of Coedwig Dywyll. Though difficult to reason with, the spirits of the trees may yet be directed against a common foe.
Osier's kindred were the first to set foot in Coedwig Dywyll, establishing the colony for the rest of the Asrai to follow. To this day, they patrol the willow glades besides Skull River, the western bounds of the realm.

The Taraxacum Host of Coedwig Dywyll
Madoc Duramen - Glade Lord
The mightiest among his people and ruler of the Taraxacum Host. The keenest eye, the deepest wisdom, and the broadest power stance may all be found in Lord Madoc.
Bedwyr Stanchion - Battle Standard Bearer
The youngest captain of the noble houses, Bedwyr carries forth the standard of the Taraxacum. It is his duty to unleash the symbolic Talon of Kurnos, and draw first blood.
Arth Mawr - Glade Captain on Great Bear
Captured and half-blinded by the foul orcs, Arth was rescued by the Great Bear of Coedwig Dywyll. Consumed by vengeance, and robbed of depth perception, he now rides his trusty companion, Rupert, into battle, claiming the heads of those he has slain.
Taliesin Arabesque - Shadowdancer
When her kindred were slaughtered by the Brayherd of Raa-Motkor, young Taliesin proved the only survivor. Forever robbed of speech, she communicates only through interpretive dance, the magical winds of Ulgu and jabbing pointy things.
The largest of the Coedwig Dywyll kindreds dwell within the ash groves and form the backbone of its warhost. Fraxinus' people stand ready to take up their magical arrows and golden bows in the defence of the dark wood.
Branwen Urushiol - Spellsinger
Branwen was one of the earliest colonists to the Forest of Gloom, and the first Spellsinger to make covenant with the wild spirits within. She acts as a vital link on the battlefield between her fellow Asrai and the vengeful wood.
Ifor Gad - Waystalker
Ifor walks with a light tread, hidden among the motes of sunlight that filter through the forest canopy. The greatest of all Waywatchers maintains his lone vigil over the bounds of Coedwig Dywyll.
Geraint Meander - Waystalker
Long exiled from the kindred glades of Coedwig Dywyll, Geraint lives in permanent night, hunting by moon and stars to protect a folk that will never again embrace him.
Twiggy - Branchwraith
Cruel as a canker, merciless as a spring frost; this branchwraith is nonetheless the only force that can restrain the malice of Coedwig Dywyll. On behalf of the forest, she has struck an accord with the Asrai encroachers, at least for now.
Silvia - Branchwraith
A far subtler creature than her counterpart; this branchwraith is content to remain in the shadows of Coedwig Dywyll, allowing the Asrai to spill their blood in its defence. Only interceding to rouse the forest in the uttermost need.
Fraxinus’ Ash Kindred - Glade Guard
Sylvatica's Beech Kindred - Glade Guard
From the copper beech glades, Sylvatica's small kindred take up their longbows to join the defence of the host. They also bring plenty of musical instruments for the all-night sessions of Mandolin Hero around the campfire. The Dark Coppice - Dryads
Osier’s Willow Kindred - Deepwood Scouts
Pasodoble's Sycamore Troupe - Wardancers
Trotting like foxes through the sycamore glades, these disciples of Loec use quick steps to cha-cha-challenge any jive encroachers who dare waltz into their forest. Let's get ready to rumba!
Skaw's Menagerie - Wardancers
Strength of the bear, speed of the cat, ears of the hound and body odour of the boar... Skaw the Falconer leads his super beast friends to follow their brave star.
Of a different seed to their smaller cousins, the treekin are more considered and less spiteful. But when roused to wrath, the raw power in their whomping limbs is enough to make even the mightiest enemy bough down.
Once a troop of Silver Helms, sent as goodwill emissaries to their Asrai cousins, Bercliak's knights became enamoured of the Wild Hunt and pledged their service to Kurnos. Adorned with horns and fur, they ride their supernatural horses in the service of the forest.
Through hidden glades and trackless groves, with secret dart and twisted snare; the eyes and ears of Baccata's kin keep vigil over every path in or out of Coedwig Dywyll. There is not a creature that walks, nor a bird that flies, that does not pass the forest unmarked.
The mightiest spirit in Coedwig Dywyll keeps himself spruce to battle alongside his Asrai allies. Treeman Coniferous is evergreen in his constancy to defend the forest and avenge his fallen kin, many of them cone but not forgotten.
