It's the B-side of the big lads.
More resin bits on these - they have flaming eye headpieces and ibis skull helmets, which is all very on-brand for them. Good stuff! Although it did mean they were even more of an identical slog than usual.
No matter - easy to get a routine going that way! And there was still enough variation with heavy weapons and characters to keep it smooth. A pair of spinny guns or a pair of flamers for these, with a bit of magnet going on for switches.
Their leader has a nice stick to encourage them with. The neon green came out well on this batch, they really light up when the sun hits them. Hopefully not so much they melt this time.
Here's an Infernal Master. He's a great model, that swirl of fire is such a nice touch! Unfortunately it had totally shattered in the post, and it's pretty thin bits so hard to fix. The best I could do was mount it on some wire guides, which I tried to hide using the mini-discs. Not quite as cool as the original, but certainly not bad either.
And finally, it's been a three-week labour, but the Vortex Mutalith Beast is finally done! What a brute, so much going on with texture and spikes and fire and tentacles and so on. I haven't tried to do anything complex, I'm relying on its natural size and complexity to do a lot of the work, but I'm happy all the same.
Over half-way now. The infantry is sorted, so it's just some groovy auxiliaries to go!
