Beside the Seaside...

Another grab-bag of odds and ends from DnL.

My extremely loose theme was stuff from the water's edge this time round.

Two small crabs to start with. I say small, but giant tortoise size to scale. This one's a shore crab...

...this one's a coconut crab, quite possibly singing Under the Sea.

This one's massive. Covered in weed, barnacles and coral, squirting acid from one claw and (if you squint) clutching some hapless mariner's leg in the other. Those facial tentacles are not anatomically correct for crabs. Thank god - don't do what I did and Google videos of crab mouthparts. Horrifying.

Here's the backside, he's ripped free of a dredger.

Next, a pair of frog people. This one's a lady, apparently. I didn't think frog people would need mammaries, but there you go.

This one turned out well, colours roughly as per the Red Eyed Tree Frog. Very chill model, love it.

Having scoured the shoreline clean, I went a little inland and discovered this banger of a model.

It's a huge undead monstrosity, caught in the middle of performing a doctor doctor joke. Pull yourself together, man!

So many of these Dungeons and Lasers models have been a hoot to paint. They've all got story sculpted into them in their little details - the random ape arm stitched on at the back here, for example.

I don't have much left to paint, just nine more of these fantasy mooks. Luckily, there's a commission on its way...
