Eld One Eye

Gems and magnets? I've hit a motherlode!

Wraithlords are easily the fanciest dreadnoughts out there. Tall and poncy beyond the wildest dreams of elves, I remember their original fluff comparing their slender grace with the clumpy savagery of the Imperium's versions.

This model captures that, all right. It also captures their relative fragility - he'd snapped off at the ankles in the post, and thank god it was fully magnetized, or who knows which wrists, fingers or fins would have given up their ghost circuits.

A quick pin sorted it out, and then I just had to paint a grab-bag of guns and hands, then all the gems in the entire world. Egad! Eldar bling. You have to love it, until you have to paint it.

Still - I can't complain (although I will and have), it was kind of fun to spend a couple of nights shading and dotting them all. Amazingly, I didn't miss any, although I did skimp a little bit on the guns and gave them metal pods without extra shinies. Had to draw a line somewhere.

To make up for that, a little freehand on the face. One ominous eye, all the better to see you with my dear.

Right, that's the hump stuff done! On to the next batch.
