The Verger's Cottage is finally done.
Took a bit - I've just started a new job and have been working pretty much flat out lately. Eight o' clock bedtimes don't leave much time for hobbying! This is a batch I started about a month ago, in fact. It's all DnL stuff, and while we're mentioning them, don't check out their new underground terrain project, it's horribly tempting.
In keeping with the fairy-tale cottage theme, we've got a trio of wolves and their werewolf master:
The Verger herself is probably a member of a non-Anglican sect:
As is her dog.
The cottage is a chunk of polystyrene packing foam cut into a rough cube with cardboard lining for the walls and timber. Matchstick fence, battlefield texture mud for the herb garden, some of the left-over fake fur for the thatch. Which didn't work amazingly, it's more of a Dennis the Menace hairdo than the aging straw I was hoping for, but it'll do!
The plants are a mix of previously painted DnL stuff, dyed moss and offcuts of aquarium plants for the really small shoots, and the front door is the last surviving Dungeon Saga piece. Or I think it is, I keep finding strays in the back of the cupboard. They must be breeding back there.
Another batch already looked out, but who knows when they'll be done!

Awesome! I love the tentacled triffidlike things in the garden too. Not a door that the big bad wolves should be all that keen to knock on I think.
ReplyDeleteLovely! You must also have a variety of different colour dragons to assess inbthe garden.
