Final day of the weekend, and while most of the crew were occupied with nonessential tasks like 'relaxing' and 'socialising', I was looking for more opponents!

Last weekend, I was fortunate enough to attend a get-together of Deployment Zone regulars, hosted by the legendary SayHiPaul.

There was much gaming, laughter and a great deal of food consumed. Over the three days, I managed to play six games, which I can summarise (I wasn't quite up to full battle reports).

If the summer is ending, there's still time for one last trip to the beach. So Pootle and I (Kraken) packed buckets, spades and hand grenades, then sorted out a quick battle.

Rapid and I have fought twice before, Scions against Tyranids. With one victory to each side (Nids here, Scions here), we felt there was a certain tension that needed resolution, so it's once more into the breech!

Pootle here! My Ork Warlord, Bludteef, has once more been reassembled from the component parts strewn across the last battlefield he fought on and this time is leading an army drawn from the new codex; maybe that will inspire him to survive a game for the very first time...

Facing the Orks is a host of daemons led by Kasfunatu and, for the first time in nearly a year, we're playing face to face! Kas has painted up a fabulous Be'lakor model who will spearhead a host of Tzeentch and Slaanesh daemons.
