In their first outing at a full 2,000pts, The Scourged emerged to face Winters SEO. This time I was facing his Shattered Dynasty Necrons. They were trying out the Hypercrypt Legion, which meant they'd be teleporting all over the place. Luckily, I'd brought a lot of guns.

Chaos Space Marines - The Scourged
I don't usually run shooting armies, so The Scourged are something of a novelty. I started them back in 8th Edition, when shooty Helbrutes were sub-par and Vindicators downright useless - but the wheel turns around and both of them can be brutal in this edition. Thematically, the whole army gets the Mark of Tzeentch (even down the Spawn, who have no earthly use for it), and that makes their shooting even more deadly when the Dark Pacts are in effect.
I do need some melee options, so a small unit of Chosen can race ahead in the Rhino and chop things up, while the Dark Apostle leads the big mob of melee Cultists. Everything else is in service to the big guns!
I've still got a couple of units to be painted for this army, but luckily Cultists and Spawn are always on hand to pad out the numbers and soak up bullets.
