Wasted


 Something was missing. My Necromunda box is very nearly full. One of everything (except vehicles, I needed to draw a line somewhere) is sort of what I'm aiming for, and I've pretty much managed it. The Malstrain are a bit of a token shout, I'm really not going to paint any more genestealers, but even they have a token pair of characters. 

Here are some Ash Wastes Nomads, ticking that box for the last unrepresented gang. 


There's a very nice giant beetle (the arthromite dunescuttler) and his herder:




And there's a Chieftain, sporting a chunk of rusty metal and a Venom Caster (poison flamer, basically, probably as nasty as that sounds). I like his spiky hat. 


It's probably very disrespectful to their culture to make Sand People noises when you see them, so I'm not going to do that. Turns out I rather like them, up close, I wasn't wild on release. I went for the same ash grey I did my road system in as the base colour, and added rusty browns and a bit of red. Sort of a Blanchitsu palette, now I think about it (I didn't). 

Will I get any more of them, so there's an actual gang to be led? Well, probably in time, but I'm not in a rush. I'd have to decide if I want another pack of foot troops, or whether to go hard on the pet insect theme they can rock. Maybe even the flea riders, that would make them stand out a bit extra in the collection. We'll see!
