EXT: Bridge

It's in downtown Manhattan and I'd like to sell it to you.

Can you tell it's the holidays and I've run out of minis to paint? That, and the nagging fact that I still have about 2' of road tape to use up.

This cardboard and plastic amalgam is built according to my 'measure never, cut infinity' scheme of crafting, and is as rough-hewn as the rest of the modular road kit. I mean, I couldn't start being all neat at the end of the project, could I?

Very flat, roads. I reckoned I could use a little extra cover somehow, and even if this doesn't provide much as you can see right through it, this does the job. Also lets toads migrate to their spawning pond. God help the transmission of any car trying to drive over it.

It's a length of ribbed plastic pipe (source: the floor somewhere) sandwiched inside two lengths of card. Sidewalls cut from foamboard, railings carved from sprue and the rest covered with pumice paste or PVA and sand.

It's painted to match the salt marsh stuff I did a couple of years ago, and gives a vaguely plausible way of sticking those on the same table as the roads, despite the total lack of colour match with the white mat it's going on. Which is snow anyway, the whole thing is a bit approximate, but that's how I like life.

Right, time to use all this stuff in a game. Necromunda is far too complicated as a ruleset to go adding vehicles in, but at the same time, it is very cool to add vehicles into it. I've been meaning to have a go with the extra rules for ages, mostly so I know how they work before trying to inflict them on anyone else. If I get anywhere with it, I'll post it up here.
