Hello, Birdie

There's a lot to be said for Tzaangor Shamans in a Thousand Sons list: cheap Elite slot, cheap psychic power, buffs two different units, mobile, able to dish out a punch.

I didn't mean to imply the Tzaangor Shaman is cheap.
She is, of course, a lady.

The only downside is the model is monopose. A lovely monopose, but to have a second one in the same style is unacceptable in any army of mine, not least a Tzeentch one.

So it's a-converting we shall go...

Here she is: a Tzaangor Shaman made from a chopped up parts of a Tzaangor Enlightened, regular Tzaangor, Kairic Acolyte and Dark Elf Sorceress

I've no idea what possessed me to go with this kitbash (too much cheese before bedtime, maybe), but I'm quite happy with how it's worked out. The head, feet and arm swaps may not be the most elegant but ... hell, it's a mutant goat-woman on a flying disc, what can you do?

I even gave her a sorcerous elixir on her belt - so maybe I'll finally remember that rule!

The colour scheme was the same as the other Shaman, so I can have a matching pair of his 'n hers:

  • Skin: Rakarth Flesh base, thinned-The Fang wash, Ulthuan Grey layer
  • Claws and beak: Averland Sunset base (wet-blended), Agrax Earthshade wash
  • Feathers: Pink Horror base, Druchii Violet wash, Emperor's Children highlights
  • Cloth kilt: Ahriman Blue base, Drakenhof Nightshade wash, Lothern Blue layering
  • Staff Head: Celestra Grey base, Nihilakh oxide wash
  • Staff haft: Charcoal Grey base, Celestial Grey drybrush
  • Tongues: Pink Horror
  • Disc: Retributor Armour base, Reikland Flesh wash, Golden Griffin drybrush,
  • Disc base: Warpstone Glow base, Biel-Tan Green wash
  • Disc swirl: Daemonette Hide base, Drakenhof Nightshade wash

I think it may have been a Lord of Change ;)

Seriously, she looks awesome, and I totally agree with not wanting duplicates for actual Characters. And even more so in a Tzeentch force.

    1. Thanks. It's a considerable advantage that, in a Choas army, you can get away with anything weird!
