Caught Some Weres in Time
Massive Darkness descends once more!
You can probably count the number of werewolves I like in the world of figures on the eyes of a cyclops. This is a rare exception, in that I like the pose. And the body is at least an acceptably anthromorphed wolf, so we'll let it slide.
Dunno why werewolves leave me cold. I also get cross when they're counted as Undead in games systems, which is even more irrational. What is my vested stake in them, that I get so annoyed about nothing? Shapeshifting monsters ought to be cool. Plus all the cool eastern European lore. And all the dreadful movies.
Ah well - I do (equally inexplicably) approve of the old DnD approach of inventing a bunch of other silly werecreatures. So here's the other Massive Darkness ones, starting with this very poised Weretiger. His early paint scheme got him the moniker 'The Lucozade Monster' when he was proxying in a game the other day. He is a bit orange, really, maybe gold wasn't the best choice for the armour. Never mind!
Finally, this Werebear is really overcompensating for something. If you're already a ravening bestial horror with vast jaws and claws, do you really need a second pair of jaws strapped on to your head? Or Shredder-style wristblades of bone? Or a skull crotch? Methinks something in there is a couple of size categories smaller than the owner is happy with, #tiny-8tohit
Only ten more to go now, and the job's a good 'un!
Heck, Reaper even makes a Were-Armadillo!
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty good Werewolf there. Nice work on the other two as well, but you're right, the Werebear is totally over the top.
Cheers!
DeleteIs it Reaper that also does a Wereshark? It's so OTT that it's actually jumped itself.
They are one of several manufacturers who do. A quick google search also turned up results for a Dwarven Wereshark and a Pirate Wereshark XD
